Kelly Schuller

Kelly was named Viracon president in October 2011 after serving as Viracon’s senior vice president of sales and marketing for the prior year. Before joining Viracon in late 2010, he spent just under five years with Viracon’s parent company Apogee Enterprises as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. While in this position he worked with Apogee’s executives, business unit presidents, and board of directors to develop a comprehensive strategy for growth and was responsible for two architectural segment acquisitions, including what is now Viracon’s subsidiary in Brazil – GlassecViracon. He worked extensively with Viracon while in this role.

Prior to joining Apogee, Kelly held general management positions from 2001-2006 in United Health Group and Innovex, a manufacturer of custom electronic circuits with international

operations. From 1996-2001, he was with the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company which he left as an Associate Principal. He started his career in finance, spending six years with Ernst & Young and The Pillsbury Company before attending business school.

Schuller has a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University, Boston, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration form the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He and his family reside in the southern metro area of Minneapolis-St. Paul.


Garret Henson
Vice President Sales

Garret was promoted to Vice President of Sales in February 2012, after serving as the Director of Sales for 5 years. Garret has built his entire professional career with Viracon. He joined in 1993 as a field sales trainee, and then became a field sales representative based in Colorado. He regularly advanced through increasing levels of field sales management responsibility - both domestically and internationally.

Henson holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree in Finance and Real Estate, a Mini MBA in International Management and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He and his family reside in Owatonna, MN.


Monte Mitchell
Senior Vice President of Administration

Monte is responsible for the strategic direction and management of Viracon's financial operations, pricing, contract negotiations and review, warranty terms, Code of Conduct administration, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Monte is a member of the Viracon Executive Steering Committee. He is also a member of the Information Technology Steering Committee which is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Viracon as well as assigning and monitoring projects aligned towards strategic goals. Before Joining Viracon in 1998, Monte was the chief financial officer for the Glass Technologies Division of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. He also served seven years with Apogee as the tax director and assistant treasurer. Previously, he was employed as a tax manager by Arthur Andersen & Co.

Monte holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. He has also completed advanced training in accounting and finance with Arthur Andersen & Co. at the University of Illinois and Arthur Andersen's training center in St. Charles, Ill. Additionally, he has completed instruction in Theory of Constraints and Six Sigma, including Six Sigma Champion's and Design for Six Sigma training.


Bill Wright
Vice President of U.S. Operations

Bill Wright is currently the vice president of U.S. operations for Viracon with responsibility for the Owatonna, St. George and Statesboro facilities. Wright is responsible for maintaining an optimum workforce capable of delivering high levels of service to customers.

Bill began his career with Viracon in 1996. He has held a variety of leadership positions within the organization prior to his current position as Vice President of U.S. Operations. He was the vice president of operations for Owatonna's plant before taking over leadership of all three U.S. plants. Wright oversaw the construction and launch of the company’s state of the art facility in St. George, which opened in 2007, and where he was the Vice President of Operations. He spent the six years prior as the Director of Manufacturing in the Owatonna, Minnesota facility.

Prior to joining Viracon, Bill served 16 years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer. Bill received a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Bill and his family reside in Owatonna, MN.
