U.S. Green Building Council LEED.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED rating system for high performance sustainable buildings was created to define green building and raise consumer awareness of green building benefits.
Viracon is a member of the USGBC and has LEED Green Associates on staff to help architects and customers meet their green building objectives.

Material Recycling Recycle.

Glass recycling is the processing of waste glass into usable products. Glass that is crushed or imploded and ready to be remelted is called cullet. Viracon recycles over 40 million pounds of glass cullet and other materials annually for use in fiberglass, road paint, and asphalt.
Recycling may also include recovering and hauling away the old glass and unneeded glass samples from a project site in cooperation with Infinite Recycled Technologies, a generational recycling business since the 1890s.
Protecting Wildlife Bird-Friendly.

Viracon Bird-Friendly (BF) glass makes it possible to balance glass building benefits with the adverse impact on birds through glass selection. First- and second-surface print options minimize bird collisions and meet the evolving bird-friendly building design criteria.
Viracon’s standard bird-friendly patterns comply with the American Bird Conservancy guidelines for bird-friendly materials.
